If your account shows less capacity for an upcoming FBA shipment, first verify exactly what changed. Do not infer a marketplace-wide policy change from a single account notice or apply another country’s capacity rules to Amazon Mexico.

Capture the exact constraint

Record the marketplace, notice date, effective period, affected storage type or products, displayed allowance and planned inbound quantity. Check whether stock already in transit is reflected in the account’s calculation. Keep a copy of the notice with your shipment plan.

If the problem concerns an individual product’s eligibility or preparation, use the restriction troubleshooting guide instead. Capacity planning cannot resolve a prohibited product or an unresolved listing issue.

Rebuild the next shipment around confirmed demand

  1. Pause new dispatch decisions until the affected shipment quantities are reconciled.
  2. Compare sellable stock, open inbound shipments and demand over the replenishment period.
  3. Prioritize products by shortage risk, contribution and service requirements—not only by historical unit sales.
  4. Reduce or reschedule replenishment that is not yet needed, using the supported account workflow.
  5. Confirm the revised plan with the supplier, carrier and warehouse before goods depart.

Do not assume additional capacity will be granted. If your account offers an applicable request process, evaluate it using the current terms; keep a workable plan that does not depend on approval.

Make a backup path operational before relying on it

Local stock can support a merchant-fulfilled plan only when the product is eligible, the offer is configured correctly, and the warehouse can meet the required service. Verify stock, order receipt, picking, carrier handover and tracking before exposing new availability.

The hybrid fulfillment guide covers these responsibilities. Use external-storage replenishment planning when the objective is to hold inventory for a later FBA shipment rather than ship it directly to customers.

Avoid emergency moves that create another bottleneck

Moving excess inventory without confirming receiving space can create double handling and delayed availability. Aggressive promotions can also create orders the remaining stock cannot support. Agree the physical storage location and the customer-facing stock balance before changing the sales plan.

Review the plan after each receiving milestone

Reconcile what was sent, received and made available. Update the next shipment using actual lead time rather than the original estimate. Keep outstanding discrepancies visible and assign someone to resolve them.

Discuss your storage and fulfillment requirements with Skynera. Confirm the relevant service scope, costs and handoffs before moving inventory.
